Which city of Australia is better to find a jobt as an Environment Health and Safety manager?
Hello. My name is Morgan.
I’m living in France and I just finished my studies. I’ve been graduate from an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) master engineering degree. I can work as an EHS manager/advisor/coordinator.
I’m looking for a place that can offer to me the maximum of opportunities. I think Perth is really good but I don’t know If it match with my skills.

The manager roles will be out of your reach for a number of years – you will need at least 7 years experience working in the industry before you can hope to get a role with “Manager” in the title. You need staff managing experience in a number of roles before you qualify. “Officer” is the job title you need to look for if you have just graduated – you keep this job for 3-4 years and you move up to a “coordinator” title.
These types of role have limited opportunities in the capital cities (Sydney, Perth etc). You need to move into the rural regions (the outback) to be able to move up the ladder quicker. Most people do not live to leave the comforts of home (shopping centres, cinemas, restaurants) etc to move somewhere that you have to travel 5-7 hours to get to a town with these. So the opportunity to move up the ladder is quicker there – if you are prepared to make the sacrifice.
