Who knows anything about benign neck masses.?
Mimi strokes.. have had two..but the dr. can’t tell me why. back in the spring found I had a cyst at the base of my neck.. said it had nothing to do with the stroke.. but I have a neck plate due to ruptured disc in neck. they said that had nothing to do with them also. now the cyst has grown and the dr. said it is benign … with out any test to check. how does he know.. am having it removed next week.. but he said are you sure you want this totally benign mass removed and have a big scar.. like that is what bothers me.. am in excellent health.. no plack build up not over weight.. teach karate 4 times a week . someone please help.. am worried about this next week.. don’t won’t to go and have this done and it be something else.. have a call into reg. dr. to see what they have to say..thank you. I am a female 45 yrs old.
It depends exactly what kind of mass it is. They all come with answers of why they are there (or none). I had a tumor last year in my knee and I was told there was no way to tell how it got there b/c it was rare. Just ask what kind specifically it is and do research on the internet about it.
If it is a cyst; they are begign. But, they thought my tumor was a cyst at first until they did my biopsy. I would have a biopsy done first, b/c of it’s something more; you should see a specialist to have it removed.
