Why do so many people waste time asking questions about health problems on line?

Why do so many people come on Yahoo answers asking questions about their health problems some of them apparently quite serious and seeking medical diagnoses when there are things called doctors out there. There’s A&E, the NHS even have phone lines and an online service. For Gods sake seek professional advice. Don’t waste time on here. I say this with due respect to the well meaning people on Yahoo answers

I really like yahoo answers but i think this section should be deleted. If you have a question about your health and if it is even somewhat serious you need to be asking your doctor not random people on the internet. That is why we have doctors, so they can help us! I really agree with you.

And if they still want advice from the computer they can just search google for answers thats what everyone else uses to answer the questions anyway. I would say about 95% of the questions on here can be answered with a quick google search themselves but its like they are to lazy to even do that.
