Why do peopel spend thousands of dollars on puppies at pets stores when they can get cheaper ones at shelters?

Moreover, shelter dogs are usually spayed, neutered, and are healthier. why are people peopel willing to shop when they can adopt, at lower prices, better health guarantees, and doign a good deed? re peopel really that stupid?

Some people don’t know that shelter dogs are usually the best. They think they are getting one of the best purebred dogs, meanwhile, they could be getting a mix. Shelter dogs are easier to handle and do not come from puppy-mills. They have their own life stories behind them and are looking forward to a new life. People just think that they’re getting a better deal when they’re not. And yes, people really are that stupid. They should at least get one from a breeder.
