Universal health care seems to be a hotly debated topic ever that health reform in the United States is discussed.

Those who argue that health is a responsibility individual does not want a system that requires them to contribute tax money to support citizens who act responsibly to protect or promote their own health.

They argue that they want the freedom to choose their own doctors and treatments, and suggest that the government can not know what is best for them. These people argue that preserving the current system with improvements to provide better insurance coverage for citizens who are uninsured or insured for their health care needs is the only reform that is needed.

Those who believe that health care is an individual right to support a universal system of health care on the grounds that every citizen deserves to have access to the right care at the right time and that the responsibility of government is to protect its citizens, sometimes even from themselves.

Two arguments against stem from two opposing ideologies. Both are good arguments, but can not be supported by argument in favor of the application or deny medical care universal. The issue should be resolved through an ethical framework.

An examination of ethical issues in health reform will require consideration of large part different from the arguments already presented. The ethical questions focus on the moral law. discussion would begin with a "What is best for me? 'But' How can we as a society, acting in ways that our actions are morally right? "

Ethics refers to determining right and wrong in how humans relate to each other. ethical decision making for health reform needed then human beings to act in consideration of our relations with each other rather than our own individual interests.

• What will bring the greatest good for the most people?
• What action itself is a good act and helps us fulfill our duties, obligations and responsibilities to each other?
• What action itself shows the care and concern for all citizens?

Because the answer to all these questions, universal health care always be considered the right thing to do.

The United States is the most advantageous position is when it comes to health reform. They are the only developed country without a national health care system in place for all citizens. They have the opportunity to learn from the mistakes that have been made by all other countries that have already passed by the universal health system road. They have the opportunity to design a system that can shine like a jewel in the crown of universal health care systems in all parties.

However, it is structured in all decisions about ethical values. For universal health care to be accepted by all citizens in the U.S. must first agree to the collective value of equity and justice and embrace the goal of meeting their collective responsibility to others, keeping rights and freedoms.

That can be the most difficult obstacle of all.
