Private Doc. or Health Center?
I have private health insurance and I was wondering which is more cost effective private doctors or community health centers? I noticed that private practices are way more expensive. Why is that?
I don’t have a HMO it’s a HSA health plan.
Private practice all the way! They are more expensive because they actually take the time to talk to you, get to know you and maintain history and communication with you.
When you go to a private practice you can expect that your doctor will remember you and you will be getting the best treatment possible and not just some sort wham bam “yeah heres some oxy sorry your ear hurts it might be because of that color crayon but lets just treat the pain anyway.”
Most insurances only make you pay a $10-$20 copay anyway — its worth it.
