Doctors Survey Health Care
Is This What It Comes To? Does This Story Make Your Blood Boil…?
I have only just read this and am furious! I’m wondering if it will have the same effect on you? Do they no longer take the hippocratic oath?

Doctors are calling for NHS treatment to be withheld from patients who are too old or who lead unhealthy lives.
Smokers, heavy drinkers, the obese and the elderly should be barred from receiving some operations, according to doctors, with most saying the health service cannot afford to provide free care to everyone.
Fertility treatment and “social” abortions are also on the list of procedures that many doctors say should not be funded by the state.
The findings of a survey conducted by Doctor magazine sparked a fierce row last night, with the British Medical Association and campaign groups describing the recommendations from family and hospital doctors as “outĀrageous” and “disgraceful”.
Another nail in the coffin of ‘free for all’ medical care.
Reports such as these make me wonder if financial/material rewards from drug companies and private medicine companies may corrupt or sway enough ‘Admin Medicos’ to reappraise or forsake their commitment to the Hippocratic oath they swore to uphold and cut their cloth accordingly.
Will it come to a point where the NHS stop treating my asthma purely because I CHOSE to live in a part of the UK that I love but which is known to aggravate my condition due to the damp climatic conditions that prevail here – probably.
There are times when I fully understand the exodus of UK nationals from these shores to other less back handed power hungry penny pinching climbs
So yes it does make my blood boil – more an oath of hypocrisy than a Hippocratic oath.
