Environment Health And Safety Courses
I’ve Bachelor in Commerce and Econmics but work as Safety officer !!?
Hi guys;
I have Bachelor degree in Commerce and Economics. My major is Operation Management. I’ve found job in Oil company but they give me a position as HES ( Health Environment Safety ) advisor.
I know this position not related with my study but there is no other option to take so, should I stay in this position for best chance in future? Should I study safety? What are the courses prefer to take for this position?
Or should I complete my study to Master degree ? or any other solution
It’s not unusual for a person to get a job in a field that isn’t 100% related to their undergraduate degree. You should certainly accept this job, if it interests you, and work there for a while. While you work there, look at the career options open to you at the oil company. What interests you? What education would you need to move up in the Health and Safety field? If you decide you like Health and Safety, you begin working on obtaining that education. If you decide you want to change into a new role, find out what education is needed, and get it.
But don’t get any additional education until you’ve worked for a while, and learn what paths are open to you.
