Health Course For High School

Do you think colleges will like a person with a heavy course load but worse grades?

What if I took 10 APs and the rest were honors (except for, of course, technology, gym, and health… mandatory classes) classes in my high school career and got A’s in all of them except for one AP class the first semester of my sophomore year which I got a C in. Do you think they will still consider me over someone who took very little APs and honors classes but that person got straight A’s?

People really need to get over this notion that a single C on a report card is enough to destroy their chances at college. It might mean that you don’t get into an Ivy League school with a lot of financial aid (keep in mind here that the Ivies are usually drowning in applicants so they are free to pick and choose to a level many colleges can’t even come close to), but it’s not going to keep you totally out of college. And that holds whether or not you take AP classes.
