How I can get insurance for my family?

My cousin has absolutely no health insurance, and he has never been to the dentist. At this point, you really need extensive dental work. Unfortunately, his parents are ill-equipped to help in this situation, and he is not old enough to obtain their own insurance (or is old enough to work). Basically, it is impossible for parents to obtain insurance for him, so I want to help him myself. Since I'm not his father, and our slight age difference makes it impossible for me to pretend to be her father, do not see how I can put it on my insurance. I do not really talk with their parents, so that makes it even more difficult to coordinate anything with them. Do not make as much money, so I could not pay for the work alone in my pocket. Some kind of financial assistance is only a necessity. What I can do to help pay for this dental work?

I'm not sure if you can include his cousin in their health insurance, but you should call your insurance company, your state insurance office (link below), or a local insurance agent (link below) If you prefer not to talk to the company. I know that the definition of "dependent" has changed recently in terms of health insurance. Some states have expanded the eligible age and others have expanded their dependents can have health insurance (grandparents, for example). Regarding financial assistance, I have included several links that can be of use. Some clinics also provide dental services free, so it would be a free or discounted option (also try searching for the department health in your county. The Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) provides health insurance for children, although you may have to get parents involved. Insure Children Now is a website where you can search for insurance programs sponsored by the state, many of which include dental coverage. The American Academy of Pediatrics has a resource page to help promote children's access to health care, and you can also try contacting the American Dental Association to see if they have any dentists that do pro bono work in your area. Hope this helps. It is touching that wants to help his cousin. Barnes @ MostChoice
