Why not eat enough fruits and vegetables every day?

I don’t know why, but I’m always shocked when I read articles like this. For me, healthy eating is a privilege, responsibility, right, and a priority. I enjoy filling up my cart in the produce section and my entire family feels this way too. Why are there so many people who don’t eat enough fruits and vegetables? I would not feel the same without them.
I understand that some people really might not be able to afford fruits and vegetables. That would be demonstrated by someone who buys bulk grain meal, rice, dried beans, and those sort of foods. People who buy packaged cereals, processed meats, and can afford condiments or drinks do NOT fit into the category of people who are literally so poor they must give up fruits and vegetables.
I would have thought fruits and veggies are the most cheapest to buy in comparison to canned food stuff etc. I think people just don’t like them period and this dislike is being passed on negatively to the young. Many adults and children hardly know what some types of vegetable are even. The other thing they don’t like is having to prepare them and cut them or don’t know how to. As for me, I love veggies and fruit. I eat vegetables everyday and we grow some of them too like tomatoes, lettuce, onions, etc.. I wouldn’t want to eat anything without veggies. The first thing that attracts me is the vegetables on my plate. There is always fruit on the table like oranges or bananas etc..
