What’s the worst case of a person neglecting their health you have ever seen?
We are still reeling from this one: A young friend of ours, barely 30, has been having increasingly severe stomach and intestinal problems for over a year. He refused to go to the doctor, no matter how hard his wife tried. A couple weeks ago he came down with a fever, and after nine days of it he finally agreed to see a doctor. They performed the appropriate tests and found he has Crohn’s disease, and he must have his entire colon removed to save his life because his colon is bleeding into his abdomen. If he had gone to the doctor a year ago, the course of his health would be much different.
Have you had to watch a loved one or friend suffer because of their own self-neglect?
Yes
Bad thing is no matter how much you try they say it nothing and will go away with time and some over the counter medicine
I think most people just really fear what the doctor might tell them is wrong
Bad thing is no matter how much you try to help them that until they are ready to see the doctor they won’t.
