What’s the best way to contact/get magazines to do reviews and editorial press on your products?

I’m looking for information on the Health/Beauty/Style sections.

I assume you’re not keen on using a PR agency? That’s the kind of thing they’d be able to do for you.

The simplest way is to target five or six of the leading magazine in your sector and give them a call. Explain you want to send a product for review and ask for the name of the person concerned. Send them samples with a press release about your product.

Not all reviews may be good – so be sure your products stand up against the competition.

If you want a good review you can also pay for an advertorial in almost all magazines and newspapers.
