Using social media sites to drive traffic to your website?

I've heard that social media websites like MySpace can be a good way to drive traffic to your website. Does anyone know how to do this? My site is http://www.alternativehealthbusiness.com. I will provide marketing support services for alternative health practitioners such as massage therapists, chiropractors, personal trainers, energy healers, nutritionists, etc. and help with job interviewing massage therapists. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
