( University of California – Los Angeles ) For the first time, UCLA researchers have made the first direct recording of mirror neurons in the living human brain, thus providing definitive proof of their existence. Mirror neurons fire not only when we perform a particular action, but also when we watch someone else perform that same action, and if defective, are thought to play a role in autism.
