Can I receive financial assistance from this income?
I will Concorde Career College in San Diego, CA. For those of you who are unfamiliar with this school, is a fast-paced school. That I can get my teammates in professional nursing degree in 51 weeks with no waiting list. The cost of the program is $ 28,000. That includes shots or anything related to health (such as tuberculosis tests or health), Scrubs / uniforms, books, class expenses, etc. I am determined to go to school because I can finish my degree sooner, and everything else around here have 3-4 year waiting list to apply for nursing programs. To get to the question, I just turned 20. and my husband joined the army a year ago. Our combined income for 2007 is $ 22,282. That's what I will use for complete financial aid. I heard that you can not go above $ 20,000. Is that true? And about how much financial aid will pay for college for me?
There is a limit to the amount of federal grant money that can receive (but do not know what the limit is). If you are filing with the combined income of $ 22,000, you may qualify for Pell grants. This is assuming that Concorde is a Title IV school, or who receives federal funds. My advice is to see what other scholarships you may qualify for addition to the grants. $ 28 for a total program is a quite reasonable agreement, if the quality of education is good.
