American Health Service?

Why are the Americans jumping up and down as though at a Pow Wow trying to resist having a UK style National Health Service?
They all drink water, use electricity and gas and the young folk all go to school.
How can they enjoy the benefits of something they’ve never had?
What they should realize is that a country is a big team – all pulling together and a national service benefits ALL and not just the financially rich. So the question is ‘why do Americans stamp on their own feet in this big issue

a major push by some, obviously led by insurance company lobbies. the big lie is the socialism aspects. after 70 years of anti communist propaganda, many americans (mostly old and angry) are scared to death of anything socialist. ridiculous when they send their kids to state supported schools, depend on police and fire departments, drive on Freeways, etc.
