Public Health Issues Articles

Do you think that the health of the president is important?

I recently read an article from Newsweek that the health of past presidents was mainly kept out of media and public eye. I believe that if a candidate is going to run for office, they should be mentally and physically fit to meet the demands of our country. With a high profile rank as the president, I would want to know that there wasn’t an underlying issue with their ability to make decisions with a sound mind and physically able to do the job.
I know there is an issue of privacy, but with the highest profile job in the entire world, do you think that it’s in the best interest of the country to keep America informed about the health of the person who will be leading us?
This is NOT a jab @ McCain, people!! It’s an honest question and I wanted to know if others felt this way b/c it is a viable question.

Yes, because what if the president picks a lousy vp? Then America would be in a much worse situation.
