With today's news is that the latest Gallup poll surprisingly discovered that Americans want the best health care but do not want pay for it, came shock and disbelief, but only those who were stranded in a desert.

"The survey of 3026 adults, the survey Friday through Sunday, has a margin of error of + percentage points / -2. Some of the questions asked of half the sample have a sampling error of + / -3 points. In a 56% -33%, respondents supported the idea of the enactment of the health of big changes this year. Only one in four say it is important to them. When it comes to financing costs, six out of 10 in favor of the idea of requiring employers to provide health insurance for their workers or pay a fee instead. "From USA Today Gallup poll.

The fact that this survey was paid by a public company was more shocking to me, "said Captain obvious that I knew, Florida. Perhaps the greatest idea came from the Gallup poll writers themselves when they decided to return home for the day and leave to dumb questions.

In discussing my views with a colleague abnormal Recently, I remembered a wonderful book I read called "Shock Doctrine" Naomi Klein's book actually provoke thought, quite the opposite of a Gallup poll. His book is based on historic facts and statistics that were used by the Chicago School of Economics beaten to nations in globalization. Thus, U.S. companies allowed into these poor, often battered companies and buy everything from workers to their utilities. The reason that many of these countries were so poor they often are "spoiled" by the social programs that could not afford. The IMF and big business then only lend money to rebuild the country if politicians would agree open world trade (which allowed international companies to enter and buy everything that is attached) and to repeal any and all social programs. In large part, these countries, of course, suffered immensely worse than before the International Monetary Fund (IMF) entered the country and after 5-10 years of the currency office, etc., begin to gain strength and economy were modernized in a model of capitalism.

The parallel between these countries (mostly from Latin America and Middle East) and our country today is that we are on the verge of a truly horrible economic downturn and polls like Gallup confirms that we as Americans want it all, but does not sacrifice anything to get it. Of course, politicians promise and still provide these programs for us regardless of cost or anything else, provided that they are elected again and again. And the ugly truth of the book (which is pointedly liberal) is that we will have to be in shock of these habits in order to "reset" of the economy. All social programs and anything else that causes deficits and debt will have to be abandoned and then started again.

As the nation more productive land, the future certainly can be avoided by making good decisions, such as Universal Health Care, but the cuts have to be elsewhere! But Like all recessions after Greenspan avoid playing with interest rates (which is causing a major, more imminent accident that combine all recessions earlier, such as invoices from those mistakes have never been absorbed, only postponed) and, as we are doing it again, now, to avoid the present recession and spend the money that simply does not even exist, the final draft will expire. And it is maturing. And when others wake up and stop financing our debts, as they wake up to the idea that it is impossible for us to pay back. When? I have no idea. But the first part of what is happening as the dollar continues to fall and China is slowing its ridiculous buying our Treasuries. I am willing to give up my comfortable health insurance brokerage for the good of this country and if we all do something painful it can help defray some of the pain comes, What are you willing to do?
