Do you think the United States will ever have decent, affordable health care?

So many people are in debt because of medical bills. Doctors make so much money but treat those without a dime, perscribing this and ordering that. 20% to 40% of the average Americans paycheck is taken for healthcare yet we get reemed on deductibles and payouts. Healthcare is free in Canada, so whats our problem? My theory is the greedy healthcare corporations and doctors. What do you think?
I shouldn’t have said healthcare is free in Canada. I know it is paid for by taxes but they do not pay out of pocket everytime like we in the US do.

Could be greed, could be many things.

But as long as you do not think that the ‘affordable’ healthcare is supposed to be handed to you by the government, I can very much understand the want to understand why it does cost… the common misconception is that if the govt provides it, it will be free… when in fact the cost to the average American for the same healthcare will be much more because of govt red tape and bureaucracies… the other misconception is that ‘Healthcare is free in Canada’, which if you consider the tax rate that is well above 40%, you can see that it is not…
