Wearing Earrings at Work…..?

Ok im 16 i go to school and everything…so i have a part time job at an ice cream store..i’m been there for about a year now…so the thing is that today i got and earring on my left ear..and when i went to work my manager told me to take it off because the Virginia health department doesnt allow employers to wear any earring and stuff…but i have seem alot of guys,” im a guy by the way”wearing them at McDonald, popeyes and other fast food restaurants…so im curious if The VA Health Dept.rally doesnt allow this or is my manager that doenst like. it…

Bottom line, if you want to keep your job you have to abide by the dress code that your employer sets out. As a nurse there are a tonne of things that I can’t do in regards to earring, jewellery, makeup, clothing, etc. Unfortunately, thats a sacrifice you are going to have to make for 99% of jobs.
